Singin' in the Rain

| Don Correia gave a wonderful performance as Don Lockwood in the Broadway version of my favorite musical. He magically recreated, step for step, the title tune dance number so eloquently exercised by Gene Kelly in the movie. The thing we all were waiting for, those of us in the audience, was the title tune. How would they be able to recreate the downpour on stage? Well they did it uniquely and to a rousing round of applause. Recently it has been my privilege to see Correia and his wife, actress Sandy Duncan, perform at the Senior Development in which I live here in Florida. He performed Kelly's dance routine to perfection and brought back lots of fond memories. |
